Anne-Marie Duff has been an English actress, narrator and writer for over thirty years. Duff was a TV character on Trial & Retribution Amongst Women and Aristocrats in the late 1990s. Anne-Marie Duff (born 8 October 1970) is a Britsih actor. Anne-Marie Duff, born 8 October 1970 in London is an English actress that works on stage and the screen. Her first major role in the screen was Fiona Gallagher from the UK television series Shameless in the series' initial two seasons. In the following seasons, she was the role of Queen Elizabeth I on the television series The Virgin Queen (2006) and also the lead role in the series From Darkness in 2015. Duff appeared her role in Enigma (2001), The Magdalene Sisters The Magdalene Sisters Scandal (2007) French Film (2008) The Last Station, Nowhere Boy Before Go To Sleep (2014) and Suffragette (2005). The roles she played on the screen in Shameless the Virgin Queen Nowhere Boy and Suffragette garnered the BAFTA nominations for both the Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress categories. In addition, she was awarded her the BAFTA Cymru Award for Best Actress due to her role in the television movie The History of Mr Polly. Anne-Marie Duff is an accomplished award-winning English actress who is thriving by making her mark on showbiz, performing in TV theaters and radio shows with an effervescent wit. Her role as a mainstream star was Fiona Gallagher in the British comedy-drama TV show Shameless as well as Queen Elizabeth I in the television mini-series The Virgin Queen.
